Technical Team Lead (Shopify Plus) - Lead, Architect & Integrate

We’ve partnered with a major player in the eCommerce space to find a Shopify Technical Team Lead who can bridge the gap between high-level architecture and hands-on delivery.

If you’re a Shopify expert who loves mentoring developers and solving the "heavy lifting" side of eCommerce—think complex integrations, custom checkouts, and enterprise middleware—this role is for you.

The Role

This is a leadership position within an offshore technical team. You’ll be the go-to person for technical excellence, responsible for guiding a talented group of developers to deliver scalable, high-performing storefronts for a fast-paced global business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading & Mentoring: You’ll manage and grow a team of Shopify Developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-quality code.

• Architecting Solutions: You’re not just building pages; you’re designing the backbone of the storefront, from custom Liquid templates to complex app development.

• Integration Excellence: You’ll take the lead on end-to-end integrations, ensuring everything from Payment Gateways (Stripe, Adyen, etc.) to OMS/Middleware and Avalara Tax Systems works seamlessly.

• Raising the Bar: You’ll conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure the platform is secure, reliable, and lightning-fast.

• Collaborating Globally: You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and QA teams to take projects from initial requirements all the way to a successful launch.

What We’re Looking For

• The Experience: You have 6+ years in the Shopify/Shopify Plus world, with at least 2 years spent leading and managing technical teams.

• Technical Depth: You’re a pro with Shopify APIs (REST/GraphQL), Liquid, and custom app builds.

• Integration Know-How: You have a proven track record of handling complex third-party integrations, particularly payment solutions and enterprise-level Order Management Systems.

• Leadership Style: You enjoy coaching others and have experience managing distributed or offshore teams.

• Problem Solver: You have an analytical mindset and can communicate complex technical ideas to people who might not be as "tech-heavy" as you.
