As the inaugural Data Team Lead in the US, you’ll be the bridge between their established UK center of excellence and a fresh, ambitious expansion across the Americas (starting in Denver and heading into Colombia).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building from Scratch: You’re not just inheriting a team; you’re hiring, mentoring, and scaling it. You’ll foster a pragmatic, "get-it-done" culture.

• Hands-on Tech: You’ll lead by example, designing and optimizing scalable data solutions (Data Lakes, Warehouses, and Reporting) at serious pace.

• Championing Self-Service: You’ll empower business teams by giving them the tools and insights they need to make data-driven decisions without needing a middleman.

• Global Collaboration: You’ll work closely with UK-based experts to share knowledge and maintain a global standard of technical excellence.

• AI Integration: You’ll look for ways to weave AI into build cycles and deliver innovative new capabilities to the business.

What We’re Looking For

• The Builder Mindset: You’ve successfully set up and scaled high-performing data teams before. You know how to balance speed with quality.

• Technical Chops: You’re a pro with Google BigQuery, SQL for complex transformations, and Kafka for scalable ingestion.

• Visualization Skills: Hands-on experience with Looker or PowerBI is a big plus.

• Stakeholder Magic: You can translate "business speak" into "tech reality" and vice versa, keeping everyone from developers to execs in the loop.

• Compliance Conscious: You have a deep understanding of data security and privacy—non-negotiable in an industry this size.
