If you’re the type of engineer who enjoys high-code challenges in Databricks and knows how to harmonize data from diverse sources like on-prem Oracle, Dynamics CRM, and even vehicle telematics, this is the perfect spot for you.

The Role

This isn't your average "sit in the corner and code" role. You’ll be the bridge between raw data and innovation. You’ll collaborate closely with Data Science and Enterprise Data Warehouse teams, mentor junior engineers, and play a pivotal role in shaping a modern Lakehouse Architecture. We’re looking for someone who is technically brilliant but prefers a collaborative, forward-thinking environment over rigid corporate structures.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building the Pipes: Designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.

• High-Code Engineering: Getting stuck into PySpark for complex transformations and large-scale processing.

• Data Governance: Leveraging Unity Catalog to keep everything organized and secure across the enterprise.

• DevOps Culture: Using GitHub for version control and building out CI/CD workflows to keep deployments smooth and efficient.

• Problem Solving: Troubleshooting infrastructure bottlenecks and optimizing query performance to keep things running at lightning speed.

What You Bring to the Table

• Azure Mastery: You have deep experience with the stack—Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse.

• Coding Skills: You’re proficient in Python and PySpark (high-code solutions are your bread and butter).

• Architectural Knowledge: You understand Lakehouse Architecture and how to integrate data from on-prem systems into the cloud.

• Infrastructure as Code: You’ve got experience with Terraform or ARM templates.

• Collaboration: You can translate "tech-speak" for stakeholders and enjoy working in cross-functional teams.
