Yes, we know that recruiters often get a bad rep and you might be wondering why on earth you need someone else to get involved in your job search but trust us, we’re actually here to help.
What’s in it for you?
Believe it or not, we’re always trying to find the best deal for both sides – the employers of Adobe pros and the specialists, like yourself. Using a recruiter might seem like you’re just throwing someone into the mix for no reason but when you look at what goes into choosing the right career move there’s more to it than you think. Humour us…
Time
This one is a no-brainer, there are a lot of jobs out there. Once you’ve finished up your day job, no-one wants to spend their home hours sifting through job boards and tailoring their CV to each role. Get a recruiter on board and they’ll do the hard work for you, after all they’re getting paid by your eventual employer to look long and hard at the market to find you the best opportunity. Better yet, like a dog with a bone, if they’re applying on your behalf there’s no way they’ll settle for not hearing back. No more applying and waiting, most recruiters will already know who’s interviewing and when, and can get you up to speed.
Network
They say in business it’s not what you know, but who you know. While this isn’t always the case, it can’t hurt to have someone that’s already established in the market shout about you to their (and your) favourite brands. Better yet, with all those contacts, a recruiter is more likely to know about future hiring plans so can often introduce you to a company early before a job ad has even been put together. Similarly, if you find a company that you love but want some real insight into the working environment (more than what you can find on their work for us page) a good recruiter will often know someone who’s already there, meaning you can get the lowdown before making any decisions.
Opportunity
We create opportunities. Sometimes companies don't necessarily know that they are looking to hire someone until they’re introduced to the right candidate. If we introduced you to a superstar, you’d find it hard not to snap them up too.
Know your worth
We’re finding opportunities and placing people every month just like you, so we know a typical package for an AEM or Campaign Developer in the USA versus Europe or the UK. We know what our candidates are worth and what clients put value on – we can be a soundboard so you know what feels right, or we can get involved in the negotiation, how you use us is up to you.
The middle men (and women)
More than just a person passing notes between two parties, we’re the voice of reason for both sides. Making sure that everyone is getting the best possible deal and that it’s the right move. We’re able to have awkward conversations about money, work environment, hours and everything in between on behalf of both sides, so you don’t have to.
Brutal honesty
We’re never here to persuade anyone to go to a company, our job is to find the right fit for our candidates and the prospective employer. We’ll be honest about a company’s culture, work expectations and where they’re headed. After all, we don’t get paid for our services if you don’t stick around so there’s no point in us placing you somewhere that you’re just going to leave. You’ll be unhappy, our clients will be annoyed, and we’ll be left out of pocket – we’re just being honest.
We know our stuff
If you’re going to use a recruiter, find one that understands what you do. You wouldn’t want to work on any old project, you’re an Adobe specialist after all. The same should go for your recruiter – value their experience as much as you do your own.
Sounds too good to be true? Well luckily for you, it's your future employer that covers the cost of us making your life easier. When you look at it like that, what's there to lose? If you're interested in seeing how we could help save you a bit of time, effort and energy in your next job search, talk to us.
